K&N-Sponsored Bradley Morris Teams Up with Autozone and Gets his First Pro2 Podium

Heading south of the border is just what BME Motorsports and Bradley Morris needed to change their luck. Rounds three and four of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series was held at Estero Beach, in Ensenada, Mexico. This was going to be the first time that Bradley had raced this event, which is completely different from the other races. The entire atmosphere is different down there, and the entire town is so into the race that they have some of the most enthusiastic fans you will ever see and meet. The track is also right on the beach which brings spectacular views for the fans, but also completely different track conditions with a very sandy base mixed with dirt. This combination causes some of the biggest roosts that makes it extremely hard for the drivers to see.

Bradley started out the weekend doing a promotional event with his newest sponsor, Autozone. Bradley was at one of the local Autozones with his K&N Filters Pro 2 on display and was signing autographs to promote the race along with Lucas Oil Products. This was a great way for Bradley to see the passion the fans have for racing and to get some additional motivation for getting ready for the race. Bradley had a good practice session in both the Pro 2 and Pro 4 trucks, but the team wanted to make changes to make them better tuned for the track. In qualifying, he ended up towards the back with the changes not doing what they were hoping it would.

Starting towards the rear in the Pro 4, Bradley knew he was going to deal with low visibility from all the sand being thrown at him from the other trucks. Bradley charged hard the entire race, driving fast and clean. Bradley was making fast laps and even with a deteriorating track, he was making faster laps each time. He was able to work his way up to fifth place by the end of the race on Saturday. On Sunday, Bradley was starting in the back and was looking forward to some great battles. Bradley was having a good race moving forward when he hit one of the inside track barrier tires after a difficult rhythm section and had to do a hard right hand turn. Bradley was able to continue the race and was able to get right back up to the other trucks to battle. With about three-fourths of the race done, Bradley was battling another truck when they got out of control and smashed into Bradley, breaking his front suspension ending the race for him.

In the Pro 2, Bradley was the fastest he has been yet. With this confidence he was looking at getting to the front and hoping to get on the podium. Right away Bradley was having a great battle and while throwing the truck into the turn extremely hard, he popped the inside bead of the tire. By the time he was able to get in and change tires he was down a lap. The rest of the race went well but he never could get that lap back. For Sunday’s race he knew he had great speed after Saturday’s race and was looking toward the front. In the beginning of the race Bradley was fast and was battling with several of the drivers, but mid race his Maxxis Tires started to get even more traction to give Bradley that little bit more speed he needed. Bradley started to charge towards the front, catching up to drivers and was able to pass them. Bradley was on the rear bumper of third and fourth place, watching the two battle and bang into each other. Bradley waited for their mistake and take each other out and was able to finish in third place.

This is Bradley’s first podium finish in his newly debuted Pro 2. He is brand new to this class and with a brand new truck and only after three races he is able to be on the podium in his fourth race. This is such an achievement. He is very excited about this accomplishment and is looking to improve on that and is hoping to be on the top of the podium real soon. So watch for the K&N Filters, Kicker Audio, Fallen Patriots, Autozone Pro 2 and Pro 4 to be on the podium and in the front of the field battling for the win in the upcoming races.
