W The Women's Show and DSport Magazine Converge on K&N

“W” The Women’s show came to K&N Engineering in Riverside, California to video tape a segment for a program titled “The Smart way to buy eco friendly air filters.” CEO Steve Rogers was interviewed about the importance of clean air filters, how and when to change them, and what makes K&N air filters different from ordinary air filters. Their camera crew had a great time working with the staff of K&N helping them get all the video they needed for the show.

She also said, “It is awesome to come to a shoot and find a team like the one at K&N, everyone worked together at K&N to help facilitate the production process. We expected to take all day, but everything was ready to go.”

“W” The Women’s show airs nationwide reaching 85 million households and can be seen on ‘WE’ Women’s Entertainment, Lifetime, CNBC, American Life, Health Living Channel and the ‘I’ Channel. Dates and times of the K&N segment will be announced at a later date.

At the same time the taping was underway, DSport Magazine was putting together a story for its “Test & Tune” section of the May 2008 issue. The magazine group was in close proximity to the camera crew. It was lights, camera, action and quiet on the set at K&N until the start of the dyno testing for DSport Magazine. The screaming of the engine on the dyno told both media crews something exciting was happening and each group worked together to get both segments done.

Each month DSport Magazine tests new component parts for import performance vehicles. K&N had the hot looking high performance Mitsubishi Evo X and one of its five dyno facilities available to test a new K&N air intake prototype design.

“We were extremely surprised with the amount of performance the vehicle generated with this product at K&N,” said Robert Choo, Editor-in-Chief for DSport Magazine. With the new K&N prototype design, initial tests resulted in a large horsepower gain, said James Yim, Business Sport Compact Manager of K&N Engineering.
