Every vehicle I purchase I order either a replacement drop in filter or an air intake kit. The drop in filters may be on the pricey side but the fact is in the long run you save money because you never need to buy another one just clean and reuse. I still have a recharge kit that I purchased many years ago again savings.I recommend you keep your paper filter for when I come time to clean and re-charge the filter.In my opinion to properly service the filter you will need a few days between cleaning,drying,re-oiling and letting the extra oil wick out before re-installation.I do the same thing for my air intakes buy a cheap knock off filter to use while recharging my K & N cone filter. Very satisfied with all my filters and intakes I have purchased over the years.
