Jake Andreotti and his # 7p K&N Filter micro sprint car made quite an impression at the Tulsa Shootout with fans seeking his autograph after each of his main events

K&N Air Filters sponsored micro sprint driver Jake Andreotti is based in the Northern California area. Jake began racing at just five years old with training beginning six months earlier. During a period of over six years racing Quarter Midget cars, Andreotti built up quite a race resume. He was able to accumulate five national titles, 20 club titles, regional titles and other series championships. Andreotti has broken track records across the United States and can even boast that he has raced internationally in Canada.

At the end of the 2013 Quarter Midget season Jake, and his father Jared, decided it was time to take Andreotti Racing to the next level. This past September 12-year old Jake Andreotti drove the K&N Filters equipped number 7p Super 600 Micro sprint to one of the most prestigious titles in California. Jake became the first repeat King of California title holder in two different classes, and both in his rookie year for each class.

Jake Andreotti was awarded the Donnie Ray Crawford Hard Charger Award

The highlight of the Tulsa Shootout for Jake Andreotti was being awarded the Donnie Ray Crawford Hard Charger Award and recognition for his undying efforts

Jake Andreotti has started his 2016 race season coming off a three month hiatus due to injuries to his neck and a concussion. Jake is now racing three cars in three different classes; Restricted Micros, A Class 600 cc Micros, and Winged Outlaw Micros. With the three car line up being new for 2016, and a three month break from driving, Jake and the Andreotti team weren't sure what to expect going into the Tulsa Shootout.

At a Micro Sprint event a good pill draw, where each driver draws a number and that determines where they start in their heat race, will help tremendously. Unfortunately Jake Andreotti's luck wasn't quite there as he drew the highest pill draw in the Outlaw class and towards the back of the other classes as well. Not to be discouraged, Jake saw this as a challenge he was ready to conquer.

In the end, Jake placed 5th in the Restricted A Main and 6th in the Winged Outlaw after coming from 20th. His highlight of the event was being awarded the Donnie Ray Crawford Hard Charger Award. It was quite an honor to receive this award and be recognized for his undying efforts. Jake and his 7p K&N Filter micro sprint made quite an impression. After the main events, Jake signed autographs and many fans felt he was one of the best drivers on the track.
