Fellow Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender Collin Cabre was just one of many drivers to have never driven the Monster Mile in Dover, Delaware before the start of the DriveSober125. That didn’t stop Cabre from capturing his first NASCAR K&N Pro Series East victory for the NASCAR Drive for Diversity team Rev Racing. The 21-year old Florida native captured the win in his UTI/NTI No. 2 Toyota Camry. The winning car was powered by an engine built in the K&N Engine room at the NASCAR Technical Institute.

Airbags from Airlift Performance allow Vaughn Gittin Jr. to control the ride height based on the terrain. Kibbetech Offroad mated the airbags with King Shocks dual bypass shock absorbers in the front and triple bypass shock absorbers in the rear. The combined result is 12 inches of travel when fully lifted. Kibbetech also built a custom radius arm with panhard bar rear suspension. To handle all the power and abuse at the rear wheels, a Currie Enterprises full-floating F9 rear end was installed.

Runners up in the chase for the Championship were Scott Heckert, who finished 15 points behind Byron, and Austin Hill who finished 33 points back. Dalton Sargeant and Rico Abreu rounded out the top 5 in 2015 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East points. William Byron, along with other top finishing NASCAR K&N Pro Series East drivers, will be honored at the NASCAR Night of Champions Touring Awards at the Charlotte Convention Center/NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, North Carolina on Saturday, December 12, 2015.
